Privacy Notice

This notice describes what data may be collected when someone uses Comanche County Released Inmates, how that data supports the service, and when another party may receive it. Continued use means acceptance of these practices.

Information You Submit

Search Terms

A name, place, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. We do not store or log those query terms on our own systems. The provider's policy governs its processing.

Messages

If you send an email or contact message, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. Messages are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Automatic Technical Data

Normal web operations may record technical and usage details when a page loads. These records can include:

  • Internet Protocol address;
  • browser name and version;
  • device type and operating system;
  • pages visited and time spent;
  • the referring website, when supplied; and
  • request dates and timestamps.

Cookies

Cookies may help measure traffic and understand how visitors use the site. A browser can block or remove them, though some functions may then work differently.

How Data Is Used

Collected data supports a limited set of operating purposes.

  • Keeping pages available and responsive;
  • sending a search request to the selected partner;
  • understanding which pages readers use;
  • diagnosing errors and security issues; and
  • displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests.

External Websites

Links may lead to the Comanche County Sheriff's Office, TDCJ, courts, federal locators, release-record sources, or private search tools. Once a visitor leaves, the destination's own privacy terms apply. Advertising providers may use their systems to measure activity across websites and select targeted ads.

Parties Receiving Data

We do not sell personal data. Limited information may be handled by:

  • search partners that process submitted queries;
  • analytics providers;
  • advertising networks; and
  • law enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order.

Security Measures

Reasonable, commonly used safeguards protect information under our control. No internet system or transmission method is fully secure, so we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.

Visitors Under Eighteen

This service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contact Us page to request deletion.

Your Data Choices

Subject to applicable law, a person may ask to:

  • receive a copy of personal data we hold;
  • correct inaccurate personal information;
  • delete eligible information; or
  • opt out of certain processing.
